Project Highlight: Westfield Fire Station #84

October 19, 2026

A growing community requires infrastructure that can grow alongside it. With the completion of Westfield Fire Station 84, the City of Westfield and Westfield Fire Department have added an important new resource to help meet the public safety needs of one of Indiana’s fastest-growing communities.

Envoy is proud to have served as the developer for the new station, working alongside the City of Westfield, Westfield Fire Department, and project partners to bring the facility from vision to reality.

Meeting the Needs of a Growing Westfield

As Westfield continues to experience significant residential and commercial growth, the demands placed on its public safety services continue to grow as well. Station 84 was strategically located near 191st Street and Chad Hittle Drive to expand the Westfield Fire Department’s coverage and improve emergency response in the northern portion of the community.

The station will serve several key areas of Westfield, including the U.S. 31 corridor, Grand Park, and Chatham Hills. When plans for the station were announced, the Westfield Fire Department anticipated the new location could reduce response times to these areas by approximately two minutes.

Those minutes matter in an emergency, making Station 84 an important investment in both Westfield’s current residents and its continued growth.

Built to Support Westfield’s Firefighters

The new two-story, approximately 20,000-square-foot station was designed to support up to 12 fire department personnel working 24/7 shifts.

The facility includes three apparatus bays along with living and sleeping quarters, providing Westfield firefighters with the space and resources needed to serve the surrounding community. The station also includes a museum, connecting the department’s history with its continued investment in the future.

More than simply adding another building, Station 84 expands the Westfield Fire Department’s ability to position personnel and equipment closer to the people and places they serve.

From Groundbreaking to Opening

Construction officially began with a groundbreaking ceremony in March 2025. The project was delivered through a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) agreement between the City of Westfield and Envoy, providing a collaborative delivery structure to move the project forward.

Now complete, Station 84 represents another step in Westfield’s long-term investment in public safety infrastructure as the community continues to evolve.

Envoy is proud to have played a role in delivering a facility that will support Westfield’s firefighters and the residents they serve for years to come. We congratulate the City of Westfield and Westfield Fire Department on the opening of Station 84 and look forward to seeing the impact it will have throughout the community.
