Envoy Breaks Ground on Hamilton County Judicial Center Expansion
NOBLESVILLE, IN - Envoy Construction & Development is proud to announce the groundbreaking of the Hamilton County Judicial Center Expansion, a significant investment in the future of one of Indiana's fastest-growing counties.
County officials, judges, community leaders, and project partners gathered in downtown Noblesville to celebrate the start of construction on the expansion, which will help meet the growing needs of Hamilton County's court system and government services. As the developer for the project, Envoy is honored to partner with Hamilton County on a facility that will serve residents for decades to come.
The approximately $70 million expansion will add more than 100,000 square feet to the existing Judicial Center, including seven new courtrooms, upgraded security features and expanded public spaces. The three-story addition will also consolidate multiple county offices into one location while providing flexibility for future growth.
Built in 1992, the Hamilton County Judicial Center has undergone several renovations over the years to accommodate additional staff and departments. As Hamilton County has continued to experience rapid population growth, county leaders recognized the need for a long-term solution. In recent years, increased case filings following the COVID-19 pandemic have pushed the court system beyond its intended capacity, making the expansion a critical investment in the county's future.
Once complete, the expanded Judicial Center will provide judges with the space, technology and resources they need to efficiently hear and decide both criminal and civil cases while improving accessibility and the overall experience for residents, attorneys and visitors.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, Hamilton County officials, members of the judiciary and project partners reflected on the importance of the project and the impact it will have on the community for generations to come.
Rich Taylor, Envoy's Vice President of Business Development, spoke about Envoy's longstanding relationship with Hamilton County and the opportunity to continue supporting the county through another transformational project.
"We're incredibly grateful for the trust Hamilton County has placed in our team over the years. This project represents more than an expansion. It's an investment in the future of one of Indiana's fastest-growing communities. We're proud to partner with the county to help create a facility that will serve residents, judges, and county staff for decades to come."
For Envoy, the Judicial Center Expansion reflects a shared commitment to building infrastructure that strengthens communities and supports the delivery of essential public services. Working alongside Hamilton County throughout the development process, the team is helping create a facility designed not only to meet today's demands but also to support the county's continued growth well into the future.
Construction is now underway, with completion anticipated in 2028. Envoy looks forward to sharing updates as work progresses on this landmark project.
